All bespoke custom gowns are created in Melbourne Australia. We are an ethically focused and community oriented business, passionate about supporting the incredible businesses in the historical rag-trade district in Melbourne's North, and Australia wide. 

The Archers, is our custom made to measure process, however we have sample garments to try on and get inspiration. We have a small amount of pieces available to send with in 3 weeks, these can be purchased directly online here on our fashion site. 

How do we get started? 

It all starts with a chat and a small idea. We start with a virtual or in-studio design consultation where we talk about your love story, your personal style philosophy and any design ideas you may have and images that you have seen that you love. We look at fabrics and we start to sketch up ideas. 

 How many appointments will I need? 

There are a number of ways we can move forward. All our clients are welcome to visit our studio for measurements, and 1-5 fittings required to create your piece. The amount of fittings required will depend on the design, and we will take you through this at the beginning of the process. 

If you cannot come to our studio for fittings, we can take your measurements virtually, then align with your chosen alterations partner to make any further adjustments that you would like to make. We have a list of recommended alterations services we would be happy to share with you which we have worked closely with when clients have been unable to travel. 

What are the lead times? 

We will endeavour to get back to all enquiries within 48 hours. We are a small team, and we thank you for your patience while we get back to your enquiries. 

Beautifully, hand-made pieces take time. For a couture piece, for example a bridal gown, we recommend allowing 6 months. We can accommodate for rush orders (under 4 months) they may incur a rush fee. 

For custom evening wear and suits we require 6-8 weeks subject to our availability and fabric availability.

Payment terms. 

We offer a payment plan where the balance is split into 3 equal payments. 33.3% is due for us to start your design, 33.3% mid way through the process and 33.3% prior to delivery. Our made to measure pieces start from $1995 for a slim gown and fuller and embellished styles sit between $3999-$6999 AUD.

Australia Wide

Asher and Archer orders over $1000 are eligible for free shipping. A flat fee of $50 applies for shipping under $1000.

Asher and archer recommend someone is present to sign for the delivery of your order for the safety of your package. If someone is unavailable to do so, please note the “authority to leave” option at time of checkout. Asher and Archer is not responsible for the safety of your package if this option is selected. 

International

Orders of $1000 or over shipping to New Zealand are eligible for free shipping. A $1000  flat fee applies for orders under $1000.

For all other countries Asher and Archer offers free international shipping for orders $2000 and over. Orders under $2000 will be charged a flat shipping fee of $150.

Please note your order may be required to pay customs and import duties upon arrival of the goods into your country. Asher and Archer  is not responsible for any duties or taxes the customs office may charge you, and payment is necessary to release your order from customs.

You can also use an online tool for an estimated price on duties and customs. Asher and Archer is not responsible for the safety of your package if this option is selected.

Asher and Archer orders are shipped Monday to Friday, and are not shipped and/or delivered on weekends or holidays. Asher and Archer is not responsible for any delays in delivery or misplaced packages. 

Once your garment is complete, approximate delivery times for Australia is 1-5 days from date of shipment; New Zealand 5-7 days, and all other countries allow up to 14 days for delivery.

Once you place your order, a confirmation email will be sent and a link to the tracking information.
